The snow geese in the previous picture are fake but were in my tea parlor until we could put them outside. The children in the neighborhood just love to come and "visit" them.
I've added some new things in my tea parlor so I guess I should take some new pictures but all in good time. Perhaps after a pot of tea and some freshly baked scones.
Everyone is always welcome to come and have a cuppa tea and stay as long as you want!
We can sit on this settee in front of the fireplace and sip a cuppa tea while we catch up on what's been happening in our lives.
This tea cart is called the stage coach since it is in the shape of a stage coach. I first saw it at the Empress Hotel in Victoria Canada. I wanted to buy it...like I could fit that in the check-in luggage...but fortunately for Rich, it wasn't for sale at ANY price!!
So, I did what I always do in desperate situations, I went on EBay and within two months, had located a stage coach tea cart and it was just up in northern CA. We still lived in southern CA so the person selling this wonderful stage coach tea cart met us half way in Bakersfield and didn't even want any money for gas! I'm sure that would be different today with gas prices so high. But we did appreciate this wonderful lady and her husband driving down to meet us so I could take possession of my stage coach tea cart.
I just love it and it looks even better here in our new home in Lubbock, TX!
Each Christmas since we've lived here in Lubbock, I've invited the women in our neighborhood to come and have tea and desserts. Since all our houses were built at different times, it's been wonderful getting to know each new woman. I may invite the men to join us but they will probably want a pot of coffee to go with all the teapots filled with hot tea.
All the lots have houses on them now and over the summer, we are all getting to know each other better as we venture outside after dinner when it is cooler.
